Despite the wet Boxing Day weather, Radio South Tyneside once again hosted the annual Boxing Day Dip for Cancer Connections.
This years event was the biggest ever staged with 250 people braving the cold North Sea at Littlehaven Beach in South Shields to support the charity. Patron's of Cancer Connections Jade Thirlwall of Little Mix and Paralympian Josef Craig MBE were at the event with Jade braving the dip with the younger 'dippers' and Josef starting the countdown. South Tyneside Mayor Cllr Richard Porthouse also took part in the dip - his second of the day in South Shields!
